Hi, I’m Lauren 👋 Writer by day, music enthusiast by night and lover of literature 24/7, 365.
As a writer, editor and researcher, I specialize in short- and long-form storytelling, breaking news reporting, copy editing, digital content creation and editorial strategy.
Currently, I work as a digital advertising copywriter on The Home Depot’s creative team, balancing creativity with adherence to industry and brand standards. I’ve been consistently recognized as a top performer, earning the platinum-level Homer Award, multiple Writer of the Month honors and the Orange Crusher Award for delivering results, driving change and fostering collaboration.
Previously, I served as the content strategist for the University of Georgia’s Mary Frances Early College of Education, crafting print and digital stories to showcase research, outreach and the achievements of students and faculty. I also edited the biweekly newsletter and managed all social media channels.
In addition, I’ve contributed as an editor and freelance writer to various publications, including The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Creative Loafing, Atlanta Magazine, Georgia Public Broadcasting, ArtsATL and the Marietta Daily Journal. Despite their diverse audiences, these roles shared common demands: establishing credible brand identities, leveraging data analytics to measure impact and conducting thorough research to produce compelling content.

“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.” ― Sylvia Plath
